Global music sensation Burna Boy continues to extend his reach with a new collaboration on Coldplay’s latest single, “We Pray,” released today. The track is part of Coldplay’s upcoming album Moon Music, set for release on October 4. Alongside Burna Boy, the single also features contributions from Palestinian-Chilean artist Elyanna, Argentine pop star Tini, and British-Nigerian rapper Little Simz.

“We Pray” is a fusion of diverse sounds and styles, reflecting Coldplay’s continued commitment to blending musical influences from across the globe. For Burna Boy, this collaboration is another milestone in what has been an exceptional year. Known for pioneering the Afro-fusion genre, Burna Boy has become a powerhouse in the global music industry, partnering with international artists like Ed Sheeran on “For My Hand,” Stormzy on “Own It,” and Sia on “Hey Boy.” His collaborations with Beyoncé on The Lion King: The Gift and with Sam Smith on “My Oasis” have further solidified his presence on the world stage.

Burna Boy’s international journey took off in 2018 with the release of *Outside,* featuring the global hit “Ye.” Since then, he has maintained his momentum with recent hits like “Last Last,” “It’s Plenty,” and “City Boys,” solidifying his role as one of the leading voices in Afrobeats.

Coldplay’s “We Pray” follows the release of their earlier single, “feelslikeimfallinginlove,” and is set to be included in a physical release featuring their live recording from Glastonbury. The collaboration with Burna Boy not only highlights his ever-expanding global influence but also reflects Coldplay’s growing engagement with Nigerian music. This engagement was evident earlier this year when Coldplay’s frontman, Chris Martin, performed alongside Ayra Starr in a live rendition of “Last Heartbreak Song” and “Good Feelings” during a surprise event in July.

As Burna Boy continues to break boundaries and elevate Afro-fusion on the global stage, “We Pray” stands as a testament to his artistic versatility and growing legacy. Fans of both Coldplay and Burna Boy can look forward to an exciting blend of sounds that encapsulates the shared vision of these talented artists.
