Nigerian superstar Davido Adeleke’s hit wedding song, “Ogechi Remix,” has reportedly been removed from YouTube due to copyright issues. The music video, which was a viral sensation following its release, is no longer available on the platform.

The removal comes after the song, performed live at Davido’s extravagant wedding to Chioma on June 25, 2024, became one of the standout moments of the year. “Ogechi Remix,” featuring BoyPee, Hyce, and Brown Joel, was released on the day of the wedding and quickly garnered widespread attention from fans and music lovers alike.

The music video, which was uploaded on July 19, 2024, offered an intimate glimpse into Davido’s deep affection for his wife, Chioma, capturing the emotion and celebration of their special day. However, it has been alleged that the original version of “Ogechi,” which was later remixed by BoyPee and his collaborators, was initially created by a different artist. This has led to a copyright dispute, resulting in the video being taken down from YouTube.

Despite the removal of the video, the audio version of “Ogechi Remix” is still available on BoyPee’s official YouTube channel, allowing fans to continue enjoying the song. However, the absence of the music video has left many fans disappointed, especially considering the significance of the song in celebrating Davido and Chioma’s union.

This development highlights the ongoing challenges artists face in the digital age, where copyright issues can quickly escalate and lead to the removal of content, even for high-profile artists like Davido. For now, fans can only hope that the dispute will be resolved, and the beloved music video will be restored to YouTube.
