After months of anticipation, Nigerian music superstar Wizkid has unveiled his fifth studio album, Morayo. Released in the early hours of Friday across major streaming platforms, the album is a deeply personal tribute to his late mother, Jane Dolapo Balogun, who passed away in August 2023.

Born Ayodeji Balogun, Wizkid first rose to prominence with his debut album Superstar in 2011, which featured hits like Holla at Your Boy. His achievements include a Grammy Award in 2021 for his contribution to Beyoncé’s Brown Skin Girl and Made in Lagosbeing crowned the most-streamed Nigerian album on Apple Music in October 2023.
