Shaboozey has achieved a remarkable milestone with his hit track “A Bar Song (Tipsy)” reaching the Number One spot on the Billboard Hot 100 after several weeks in the Top 10. Celebrating the accomplishment, Shaboozey took to social media to express his gratitude and joy. “We did it y’all. We no. 1. I love y’all,” he wrote, sharing the news with his fans. “Happy ‘A Bar Song’ day. Take a double shot of whiskey 4 me!”

This achievement makes Shaboozey only the second Black artist to top both the Hot Country Songs and Hot 100 charts, following Beyoncé. Shaboozey described the feeling of reaching Number One as “indescribable,” sharing his hope that everyone gets to experience such a dream come true at some point in their lives.Shaboozey

In a heartfelt post, Shaboozey reflected on his journey and the significance of his achievement. “The actual feeling of having your ‘dreams come true’ is indescribable, and I hope everyone gets to experience it at some point in life,” he wrote. He also highlighted the historic nature of his success, noting that he and Beyoncé are the only Black artists to have reached Number One on both the Hot 100 and Hot Country Songs charts.

Revisiting a tweet from January, Shaboozey showed confidence in his trajectory, reminding fans of his earlier prediction: “Bookmark this tweet: we blowing up this year!” The artist also shared insights into the creative process behind his record, revealing that Pharrell Williams served as an inspiration during production.

“You can’t have a country song with no 12-string, can’t have no bluegrass song with no 12-string guitar,” Shaboozey explained, emphasizing the instrument’s brighter tone.

Shaboozey first gained prominence through his contributions to Cowboy Carter, collaborating with Beyoncé on tracks like “Spaghettii” and the standout “Sweet Honey Buckiin’.” His latest album, “Where I’ve Been, Isn’t Where I’m Going,” released last month, has further cemented his place in the music industry.

Rolling Stone praised Shaboozey’s work, stating, “He comes across like someone raised on country who also appreciates hip hop. In doing so, he’s effectively changed the game.” The review noted that while Cowboy Carter’s early work began redefining and modernizing country music, Shaboozey’s second album delivers a full-on barrage of innovative possibilities.

As Shaboozey continues to break barriers and redefine genres, his success serves as an inspiration to many, showcasing the power of blending diverse musical influences to create something truly unique and groundbreaking.
