Rapper Lil Baby, whose real name is Dominique Jones, was arrested early Monday morning on the Las Vegas Strip for allegedly carrying a concealed weapon without a permit. The 29-year-old Atlanta native was taken into custody by the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, though the exact circumstances leading to his arrest remain unclear.
Lil Baby’s attorneys, Drew Findling and David Chesnoff, have expressed their confusion over the incident, noting that the rapper holds a valid permit to carry a concealed weapon in Georgia. In a joint statement, they assured that they are “actively investigating” the reasons behind the arrest. Despite the allegations, Lil Baby has not been formally charged, which would be a felony under Nevada law. He was released after posting bond and is scheduled to appear in court on October 1.
