Photographer and entrepreneur Abu Salami has taken to social media to publicly accuse Afrobeats superstar Davido of failing to honor a financial agreement. Salami alleges that he paid an astonishing N218 million to Davido to support a youth football project, but the singer not only backed out of the project but has also refused to reimburse the funds.
Salami expressed his deep disappointment in the situation, citing that he faces intimidation from Davido’s legal team and associates. He also claimed that Davido sent some individuals, purportedly belonging to the 30BG Crew, to physically assault him.

According to Salami, he had already paid Davido a substantial sum of N218 million out of a N326 million project. He went on to organize a nationwide tour across 20 states with an 11-member production crew to discover young football talents. However, Davido withdrew from the project, resulting in a significant loss of N42 million, which the singer has yet to refund.
Salami also mentioned his attempts to involve Davido in promoting the project’s commercials. Due to stadium restrictions, the commercials were planned to be filmed in Davido’s garden. Yet, Salami claims that Davido ignored his requests.
The consequences of Davido’s withdrawal from the project aren’t limited to financial losses. Salami reveals that he has not only lost sponsors but is also facing a lawsuit for failing to deliver the football project as initially envisioned.
To substantiate his allegations, Salami shared what he claims are screenshots of conversations with Davido and videos that depict alleged assaults by the singer’s associates on him and his team. The public dispute between the two has caught the attention of social media and fans.
