Duane “Keffe D” Davis, the ex-gang leader from the Los Angeles area linked to the alleged murder of Tupac Shakur, the deceased American rapper, has been released on $750,000 bail.
In September of last year, Keffe D was apprehended and faced charges of murder involving the use of a deadly weapon.
Davis was taken into custody two months following a Las Vegas police raid on his wife’s residence in nearby Henderson.

The documents revealed that the search was focused on finding items related to the murder of Tupac.
On Tuesday, Davis appeared in a Las Vegas court for a hearing regarding the possibility of being granted bail pending his criminal trial.
His legal representatives contended that he posed no threat to society and was not a flight risk if released before the main trial.
They reiterated his not-guilty plea, asserting that his statements about Tupac’s murder were made for entertainment and financial gain.
Yet, the prosecutors argued that Davis was a ruthless murderer unfit for release into society.
Subsequently, Judge Carli Kierny decided to grant him release pending trial but established a bail of $750,000.
Kierny further stipulated that even if Keffe D was granted bail, he would be placed under house arrest with electronic monitoring during the trial’s anticipation.

On September 7, 1996, at the age of 25, Shakur was fatally wounded in a drive-by shooting incident in Las Vegas.
He sustained multiple gunshot wounds as he departed from a boxing match at the MGM Grand Hotel.
