John Legend Announces “Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour” to Celebrate Iconic Debut Album

After two decades of captivating audiences with his signature blend of soul and R&B, John Legend is set to honor the album that started it all. The 13-time Grammy Award winner has officially announced the “Get Lifted 20th Anniversary World Tour,” a celebration of his groundbreaking debut album that will take him to over 40 cities across the UK, Europe, and North America.

The tour kicks off on May 27 at the OVO Hydro in Glasgow, UK, before making its way through some of the world’s most legendary venues, including The O2 in London, Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam, Accor Arena in Paris, Hollywood Bowl in Los Angeles, and Barclays Center in New York. Additional tour dates will be revealed in the coming weeks.

Legend, backed by his full band, will perform Get Lifted in its entirety—bringing to life classics like “Ordinary People,”“Used to Love U,” and “Number One.” The album, which won three Grammys at the 48th Annual Grammy Awards, including Best R&B Album and Best New Artist, played a pivotal role in shaping Legend’s career. Alongside his debut hits, fans can also expect selections from his extensive catalog, highlighting his evolution as an artist over the past two decades.

In addition to the tour, Legend will commemorate the milestone with Get Lifted (20th Anniversary), a deluxe edition of the album featuring collaborations with Tems, Killer Mike, Lil Wayne, and Simi. The reissue includes 11 bonus tracks, including rare B-sides, previously unreleased recordings, and eight brand-new remixes.

To mark the announcement, Legend will appear on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, where he will perform a reimagined version of “Used to Love U” featuring Black Thought and backed by The Roots.

Pre-sale tickets for European dates will go live on Wednesday, March 19, with general sales starting on Friday, March 21. North American pre-sales begin on Wednesday, March 26, followed by general ticket sales on Friday, March 28. Fans can find more details and secure their seats at johnlegend.com.
