In a recent turn of events, JAY-Z and Beyoncé’s attorney, Alex Spiro, has confirmed that he issued a direct ultimatum to Piers Morgan regarding an interview Morgan conducted with singer Jaguar Wright. During the interview, Wright made several accusations against the power couple, which Spiro has now labeled as “demonstrably false.”
In an interview with TMZ on Wednesday, Spiro explained the reasoning behind his decision to intervene, stating that the allegations had crossed a line. “There’s rumors, and then there’s nonsense, and this is one step further,” Spiro said. He emphasized that the claims made in the interview were not just baseless rumors, but formal and unfounded accusations that required a response.
Spiro was quick to clarify that his letter to Morgan was not a typical cease-and-desist, but rather a strong demand for the interview’s removal. “It wasn’t that,” he explained. “It was quite bluntly an ultimatum, which is to remove that false accusation that’s demonstrably false, or a court’s gonna order you to.”

The lawyer’s firm stance on the issue seems to have had the desired effect, as Spiro indicated that Morgan complied with the request. “I think he made the wise choice and acted accordingly,” Spiro noted.
Jaguar Wright’s interview had gone viral, with her allegations against JAY-Z and Beyoncé stirring controversy online. However, Spiro’s intervention highlights the couple’s firm resolve to protect their reputations from what he describes as falsehoods.
For now, it appears that Morgan has taken the lawyer’s advice, but this situation serves as a reminder of how seriously public figures take defamatory claims and the legal actions they are willing to pursue to defend their names.
