Renowned music artist Emtee has expressed his desire to leave South Africa, citing death threats and social media trolling as significant challenges he faces in his home country. The award-winning rapper took to social media to share his frustrations, emphasizing that while he remains a proud representative of South Africa, the relentless threats and online harassment have reached an intolerable level.

In a tweet, the creator of the “Logan” album conveyed his concerns, stating, “I wanna move out of South Africa. I’ma represent 🇿🇦 till the death but hayi seng’deleleke kakhulu la. Death threats every day, you go through a rough patch people laugh at you. The broke and arrogant one at that.”

The rapper recently found himself embroiled in a dispute with controversial gossip blogger Musa Khawula, who shared a video on X, allegedly showing Emtee being removed from the stage during the Alex Music Festival. Responding to the accusation in a now-deleted post, Emtee lashed out at Khawula, defending his actions and condemning the blogger.

Facing a barrage of online trolling, Emtee hinted at his readiness to relocate for the sake of finding peace. Users on the X platform offered suggestions and support in the comments section, with one user proposing Botswana as a friendly neighboring country where Emtee could potentially reside while maintaining connections with South Africa for gigs.

Emtee’s contemplation of leaving South Africa reflects the growing challenges faced by public figures dealing with online harassment and the impact of such negativity on their well-being.
