In a recent Instagram story, Drake has stirred up speculation of trolling aimed at Kendrick Lamar, as he sported a shirt bearing the emblem of “Compton Community College,” a real institution situated in Lamar’s hometown.

The feud between Drake and Kendrick has been public knowledge, escalating with Lamar’s veiled shots at Drake in tracks like “Like That,” featuring Future and Metro Boomin. Drake retorted with “Push Ups” followed by “Taylor Made Freestyle,” which incorporated the voices of 2Pac and Snoop Dogg, albeit briefly, before legal issues arose concerning the use of Pac’s likeness.

Akademiks, known for his insights into hip-hop beef, suggested that Drake’s attire might be a subtle jab at Lamar’s wife, Whitney Alford, hinting at her alleged connection to Compton College. However, reports from Us Weekly debunked this, stating that Alford actually attended California State University Long Beach.

In a recent episode of his Off the Record podcast, Akademiks disclosed snippets of his conversations with Drake, highlighting the rapper’s anticipation for this clash after a decade of observing Lamar’s tactics. According to Akademiks, Drake is keen to engage in a direct showdown rather than see the rivalry fizzle out yet again.

Furthermore, Akademiks hinted at a rumored diss track by Lamar, long kept in reserve, suggesting that Drake’s persistent taunts may be an attempt to provoke a response and prompt a decisive confrontation.

In his social media posts, Akademiks voiced a challenge to Lamar, suggesting that the rapper is contemplating using a Drake diss track to boost anticipation for his next album—an approach Akademiks finds unconventional.

The tension between Drake and Lamar continues to simmer, leaving fans eagerly awaiting the next move in this ongoing saga.
