Nigerian singer-songwriter Tems has been announced as one of the headliners for the first-ever FIFA Club World Cup™ Halftime Show, scheduled for Sunday, July 13, 2025, at MetLife Stadium in New York, New Jersey.

The grammy award winner will join fellow global stars Doja Cat and J Balvin to electrify what is set to become one of the most-watched football events in history. The performance, airing live and free worldwide via DAZN.com, will take place during the final match of the newly expanded FIFA Club World Cup — a tournament that’s expected to reach more viewers than any club football competition ever has.

Tems, known for her soul-stirring voice and lyrical depth, expressed excitement not just for the performance, but for its potential to drive global change.
“We’re going to bring the world together for a beautiful moment – to celebrate football, feel the unity that music brings, and improve the lives of millions of children through the FIFA Global Citizen Education Fund,” she said. “I can’t wait – see you at the FIFA Club World Cup final!”

This isn’t Tems’ first foray with Global Citizen. She previously lit up the stage at the Global Citizen Festival: Accrain Ghana back in 2022, leaving an unforgettable imprint on the hearts of thousands at the historic Black Star Square.

Her return to the Global Citizen platform — this time on one of football’s grandest stages — underscores her growing role as not only an international music powerhouse, but also a passionate advocate for education and equity.

Joining her is Doja Cat, the GRAMMY-winning, genre-defying artist who headlined both the 2024 Global Citizen Festival in Central Park and Global Citizen LIVE in Paris. And rounding out the trio is Colombian hitmaker J Balvin, who returns for his fourth Global Citizen event, following his performances during the COVID-19 pandemic.
