SZA and Keke Palmer, who showcased their chemistry during a memorable Saturday Night Live episode in 2022, are teaming up again for a new buddy comedy produced by Issa Rae.
As reported by Deadline on Friday, the untitled film, written by Syreeta Singleton of Rap Sh!t fame and directed by Lawrence Lamont, promises to reignite the duo’s dynamic. While details such as the release date remain under wraps, anticipation is high for this collaboration.
This venture marks SZA’s acting debut, a move spurred by her positive experience on SNL alongside Palmer. According to Deadline, SZA was drawn to the project by the chance to work with Palmer again.
Keke expressed her excitement for the reunion by sharing an Instagram post featuring a screenshot of the announcement, exclaiming, “I CAN’T WAIT!!”
