Chappelle went on to playfully mock what he imagined Lil Nas X might have told his teacher about his aspirations during grade school. The comedian quipped, “‘I want to be the gayest n—- that ever lived. In response, Lil Nas X displayed his trademark wit, taking to social media to address the situation. He posted on X, “yall gotta let call me by your name go, me and the devil broke up 3 years ago. yall acting like children of divorce.”
