Drake takes on the persona of Sexyy Red’s “Rich Baby Daddy” as they embrace suburban life, accompanied by their friend SZA, in the imaginative visual for the hit song.

Dropped on Valentine’s Day (February 14), the video predominantly captures the essence of a bygone era through the lens of a vintage camcorder wielded by soon-to-be father Drake. It chronicles a New Year’s Eve celebration with his partner Red, alongside SZA and another friend, culminating in Red’s labor.

“Rich Baby Daddy” resides on Drake’s “For All The Dogs” album, which dropped in October. Sexyy Red hinted at the collaboration months before while on Drizzy’s “It’s All A Blur” tour, discreetly concealing her pregnancy at the time.

In her recent Billboard cover story interview, the rapper behind “Pound Town” confessed that trying to conceal her baby bump during performances was painful, as she had to constantly hold her stomach in.

“When nobody knew I was pregnant, I’d be in the back room like tryna suck my stomach in or wear clothes to show that I wasn’t pregnant,” she said. “And I had to practice my breathing — like before I’d go on stage, I had to hold my stomach in and look at myself and be like, ‘Can they tell?’ Once I just was like, okay I can’t keep hiding it ’cause it hurt to just be on stage all day holding your stomach in, so I’m like, just forget about it.”

She continued: “I was pregnant on the Drake tour and the Moneybagg [Yo] tour but nobody knew. People started suspecting it on the Drake tour because there was videos and pictures of me coming out. That’s the only reason I was hiding it because I just wanted me and my family and friends to know.”

Earlier this month, the baby arrived, and Red shared the news by reenacting a famous meme featuring reality star Tiffany “New York” Pollard, waiting on her bed wearing sunglasses.
“Me waitin to get discharged from the hospital so I can hit da block wit da guys,” she wrote next to a photo of herself in her hospital gown.
