The 2023 BET Hip Hop Awards, hosted by Fat Joe, recently took place at the Cobb Energy Performing Arts Centre in Atlanta. Kendrick Lamar dominated the evening with four awards, while Drake and 21 Savage, along with Lil Durk and J. Cole, tied for the second-most awards, each receiving two.
Kendrick Lamar walked away with the prestigious Hip Hop Artist of the Year award. Other top honors included the Song of the Year, which went to Lil Uzi Vert for “Just Wanna Rock,” and Hip Hop Album of the Year, won by Drake and 21 Savage for “Her Loss.”
The awards also recognized Swizz Beatz and Timbaland with the cultural influence award, and Marley Marl received the “I Am Hip Hop” award.
