Asake Drops Third Album ‘Lungu Boy,’ Featuring Collaborations with Wizkid, Travis Scott, and More

Afrobeats star Asake has once again captivated the music world with the release of his third studio album, Lungu Boy. The highly anticipated album was unveiled in the early hours of Friday, adding another chapter to Asake’s rapidly growing legacy in the Afrobeats genre.

Lungu Boy is a 13-track project that showcases Asake’s signature sound while also featuring collaborations with some of the biggest names in global music. Among the artists joining him on this album are Afrobeats heavyweight Wizkid, British rapper Stormzy, American rap icon Travis Scott, UK’s Central Cee, and Brazilian sensation Ludmilla. Each collaboration brings a unique flavor to the album, blending various styles and influences into a cohesive musical journey.

The album includes a variety of tracks, each reflecting different moods and experiences. Notable songs on the album include ‘MMS’, ‘Mood’, ‘My Heart’, ‘Worldwide’, ‘Active’, ‘Suru’, ‘Skating’, ‘Wave’, and ‘Mentally’. Fans are also treated to ‘Uhh Yeah’, ‘I Swear’, ‘Ligali’, and ‘Whine’. As a special addition, Asake included a bonus track titled ‘Fuji Vibe’, which pays homage to his Nigerian musical roots.

This release follows Asake’s previous albums, Mr Money With The Vibes (2022) and Work of Art (2023), both of which solidified his position as one of Afrobeats’ most exciting and innovative artists. His distinct style, marked by a blend of traditional African sounds and modern Afrobeats rhythms, has earned him widespread acclaim and a growing fan base worldwide.

In addition to his album releases, Asake’s contributions to the music industry have not gone unnoticed. He has garnered numerous awards and nominations, further cementing his status as a rising star.
