Reality star and influencer Brittany Renner has confirmed that her brief marriage to rapper Kevin Gates has ended, describing the divorce as amicable and without regret.

In a revealing interview with REAL 92.3 LA, Renner, 33, shared the surprising news: “We got married April 6 and divorced May 28,” she disclosed. Reflecting on the couple’s notably short union of just 52 days, Renner embraced her faith and concluded that the decision brought clarity and peace.

Recently converted to Islam, Renner referenced the religion’s 90-day waiting period, traditionally intended to allow spouses to reconcile or confirm pregnancy during a divorce process. She described the interlude as “a nice 90-day reset, just focusing on myself,” crediting her spiritual beliefs for guiding her through the transition.

“It makes me at peace,” she said. “I gave 100 percent.” She emphasized that genuine effort brings closure, even if the relationship doesn’t endure.

Just weeks earlier, at the “Basketball Wives LA” Season 12 premiere, Renner spoke glowingly of Gates, calling him “the most beautiful person inside and out” and saying it felt “so surreal” to wake up next to him  . Gates, 39, reciprocated the sentiment, stating their focus was on the present moment—though he avoided naming a future together.

The unexpected split comes amid public fascination: their recent appearances together, including a livestream in March and shared red carpet moments, fueled fan speculation and rumors of engagement. Now, Renner’s honest reflections and calm acceptance of the divorce underscore a maturity amid tumult.
